Thank you to Emily and all of the coaches in Three Rock Rovers Rugby Club for treating almost 300 children in our school to a wonderful day of tag-rugby in their beautiful club. Everyone had a fantastic day. We hope that some of our girls join this wonderful club or another rugby club and reap the benefits of all that playing a team game provides.
Thank you to both Parents Associations for our state of the art basketball hoops and newly-lined basketball court. This will be such an asset to the children in our school for many, many years to come. We are so grateful!
We are very excited about our new Walkway. The walkway has been erected within the school grounds, starting at the front of the school, making its way down to the basketball court, continuing on to the playground area and ending at the big tree near Room 4. All classes will be using our new walkway in the coming weeks. Very exciting!
We are so proud of every child in our school who participated in a running challenge every day for the past four weeks. Some classes ran a kilometre each day, some ran a mile each day, some ran to Áras an Uachtaráin and much more! Our partners in DLR Sports Partnership were so impressed that they gave each child a medal and certificate for a job well done. We are all hoping to make running a part of our weekly routine, going forward, as we all clearly saw the benefits of running daily for better concentration, improved physical health and wellbeing.
A big thank you to these two girls for making a dance tutorial so that the children and families of O.L.G.N.S. can learn how to do the 'Nachan nu ji karda'! Enjoy dancing, everyone!
I hope you enjoy these impressive Gaelic Football tutorials made by two sisters from O.L.G.N.S. Thank you, girls, for making these. I am sure they will come in very handy for all the children at home who would like to be active, and to learn and practise their Gaelic Football skills!
Together/Apart in action here! Well done, girls! Great video!
