Ms. Ryan, Ms. Dooley , Ms. O'Neill and indeed, everyone in our school community is very proud of our 6th Class girls who played a tough and sporting final against Castle Park, Dalkey in the National Basketball Arena on the 21st November. It was very much a game of two halves with Our Lady's dominating the first half and Castle Park coming out on top after playing a great second half.We are very proud of all these girls who have been training weekly and playing league matches since September. Well done to our 6th Class girls who played Mt. Anville in their first league match. They played a great game and were delighted to win! More importantly, we are delighted that they are getting an opportunity to play, enjoy and learn so much from their new sport. Twenty seven girls in 6th Class play basketball. The other fifteen will be playing their first match against Queen of Angels N.S. in Sandyford next week. Thanks also to Isabel, our table official. Many of the girls will get an opportunity to learn this skill also over the course of the year.
