We are very proud of our Active School Committee who put out and take in playground equipment every single day! Well done to Vanessa and Emma in 5th Class for taking the initiative and creating this Yard Equipment Rota all by themselves!
For fifteen weeks this year, our Playground Leaders from 5th Class will teach the Senior and Junior Infants a new game each week. Here they are all enjoying a game of Gypsy Riders!
5th Class showed everyone at Assembly how to be a good friend to the new girl, Sharpay! Sharpay felt so much better after each band-aid was applied!
We enjoyed an excellent guided tour of the Sorolla Exhibition and the Portrait Exhibition, followed by lunch and fun in St. Stephen's Green. Thank you to Róisín, Zahra and Vanessa's mums for assisting on the trip.
Thank you to Ms. Macken for giving us some great tips for creating light and shade in our work, just like Sorolla!
Each piece of work represents something about each child's life and is inspired by Bauhaus style , which is currently being exhibited in the National Art Gallery.
As part of our Active School initiative , we got playground markings in our Junior Yard, to provide more active options for the children. We also got our basketball court lined. We are very pleased with this work done by Kelly Bros Erinline / Roadlines Ltd.
