Patrick Hunt returned yesterday to Our Lady's to give us a wonderful workshop on bird watching and .... took us bird watching in our school garden! We even took turns using his binoculars to get a closer look at some of the birds in our garden! First we went into our outdoor class area. We love this area. There are huge tree trunks on the ground for us to sit on. We sat on them in the morning sunlight and listened to the birds singing. Patrick is such an expert on birds! He was able to name the birds that we heard singing. We heard the robin, wood pigeon, blackbirds, song thrush and jackdaw. We then went into the main garden and did some bird watching. It was great fun! We saw a robin, a pigeon, some blackbirds and even seagulls. Thank you Patrick for telling us all about the birds in our garden. Enjoy the photos of our wonderful bird watching workshop.
